The history of Hull 488 Literary, LLC is inextricably linked to the 'Big U' herself. Our founder, Stanton R. Daywalt, inspiration sprang from the memory of his first visit to the liner in 1989. Named after her yard number at Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, our mission is born from a desire to bridge maritime history with modern stewardship, preserving an era where ocean travel was the pinnacle of elegance.
